Synonym: Emerging Markets Bond Index
A benchmark bond market index produced by investment bank J.P. Morgan. The investment bank also produces the EMBI+, Emerging Markets Bond Index Plus which covers Eurobonds and U.S. dollar local market instruments as well as the Brady bonds in the main EMBI.
