Synonym: Financial Stability Forum
Set up in 1999 at the behest of the G7 finance ministers and central bank governors, the purpose of the FSF is to identify and oversee action to remove threats to the international financial system. Its members are regulators, central bankers and leading economists from the G7 and international financial organizations.
