Synonym: Troughs

Terms used by technical analysts to describe patterns that appear on their share price charts. Peaks, or reaction highs, are resistance points and represent a price level where selling pressure overcomes buying pressure, halting a price rise. Troughs, or reaction lows, are support points and represent a price level where buying pressure overcomes selling pressure thereby halting the price drop.
