Origins
According to Steve Saville, in an editorial for SafeHaven (http://www.safehaven.com) titled The Most Misleading Words [1] (http://www.safehaven.com/article-4609.htm) the word reflation became especially popular during the final quarter of 2002 and throughout 2003 when the rallies in stock and commodity prices came to be termed "the reflation trade".
