Whisper Estimates

Informal earnings forecasts for high profile blue chip companies. Whisper numbers are generally above the consensus estimates collated and published by earnings tracking companies. A company will often see its stock sold off if it fails to meet whisper numbers even though it matches the published consensus figures.
