OPEC

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is a group of 13 of the world's leading oil producing and exporting nations: Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela, Ecuador and Indonesia. OPEC output, set by the allocation of a production quota for each member, has a major influence on world oil prices.
